Comunismo di Guerra

(Last edited: Saturday, 21 March 2020, 5:08 PM)

Communism of War was a political line designed by Lenin (1870- 1924, Soviet politician) in 1918, during the civil war in Russia, who wanted to make the first laws which reflected a Communist Government of the Nation. Communism of War provided for the collectivization of campaigns and industries: those lands which were property of landowners were grabbed by the State and peasants could cultivate them, but in form of “Kolchoz” and “Sovchoz”, respectively collective and soviet farms. Simil measures were adopted for industries, collectivizing them. But it hasn’t been a good idea, because peasants were paid with few money, so they didn’t produce a lot, making agricultural production collapse, like industrial production. Moreover, some peasants started selling products on the black market, with high prices, to earn more money. Caused by this political line, Russia couldn’t export products anymore because of their scarcity and, moreover, in 1921, at the end of Russian Civil War, a famine due to the scarcity of products killed 3 millions of people.
